The establishment of Adrion in 1994 was not a coincidence. It started as a necessity after a period of 50 years, when the foreign press and books were prohibited in Albania. Those that were born and raised in that period filled with psychological pressure towards foreign literature, understand better how important and emotional was the distribution of foreign newspapers and periodicals in our market 25 years ago, as well as the opening of the first international bookstore in Tirana in 1999. Through its various selling points in Tirana and other cities, Adrion fulfills the needs of the Albanian market with books in foreign languages and the major titles of newspapers and magazines from all over the world.

From 1999 Adrion Ltd. is a member of Distripress, the international association of press publishers and distributors. The network of Adrion Bookstores, which today counts three shops, offers more than 20 000 selected titles of books, starting from the classics of the world literature to the latest contemporary bestsellers in fields as history, politics, philosophy, business, management, cooking, art, architecture and books for children.

Our dream was to create a bookstore that we would have loved to visit ourselves. A bookstore which provides a cultural inspiration through its curated selection of books, artistic souvenirs, and also by its welcoming and professional staff.
